Caroline Jang
(2025-present)
Hello! My name is Caroline Jang, and other than the Elgar concerto I played last March and my performance on Recitals for Change, my best recital was my first one, where I was in the first grade and played “Twinkle Twinkle” (I forgot the notes for a good thirty seconds).
I’m currently a junior at Orange High School in Pepper Pike, Ohio, and have played cello since I was seven. Music has and still plays a ginormous part in my life—it is one of my favorite ways of expression, relaxation, and (most importantly) a great cover-up when I say I’m “resting from practice” when I’m really just on my phone. If I’m not with my cello, you can catch me knitting or crocheting, reading, writing, at the gym, or sleeping. I’m eager to share my passion with others and touch lives with Recitals for Change!
Justin Golden
(2023 - 2025)
My name is Justin, and I am a senior at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, New Jersey. I have been playing piano for just over 10 years, and along with my growth as a pianist, I’ve developed a passion for sharing my musical interest with others. Outside of music, I love to spend my free time playing sports, spending time with friends and family, and finding unique ways to give back to my community - I believe Recitals for Change is an amazing way to do this, and I’m excited to join this talented community of musicians working to facilitate change for others!
Jake Golden
(2022 - 2023)
My name is Jake Golden, and I am a freshman at Duke University. I have been playing piano since I was 7 years old, and I also play the clarinet, saxophone, and guitar. Outside of school I enjoy running, playing sports, and skiing. To me, music is a way of bringing different people together, and I feel that Recitals for Change is a great opportunity to use the gift of music to unite people under a common cause.
Teresa Lee
(2021 - 2022)
Hi! My name is Teresa Lee, and I’m a senior at Hunter College High School in New York City. I love to play piano in my free time, and I’ve recently learned how to play Wake Up by Eden and Runaway by Kanye West. I also enjoy swimming and crafting, and I’m really interested in medicine. I’m passionate about creating social change, and I can’t wait to make a difference with Recitals for Change!
